Liberty Utilities has announced a planned power outage that will affect portions of Alpine County.
The outage is due to work that is part of an infrastructure upgrade - crews will be replacing utility poles. Liberty Utilities says that the upgrades are essential to maintaining a safe and reliable electrical system for the community.
There may also be impacts to county operations due to the outage.
The outage will take place from Thursday, March 6 at 11:00 p.m. until Friday, March 7 at 6:00 a.m.
Liberty Utilities expects that this will impact around 243 customers, and say that they've notified all customers who will be impacted.
