Early Sunday afternoon, local law enforcement arrested Trevon Evanoff in connection with a murder last week in California.

Evanoff and one other suspect were wanted for a shooting in Redding, California on October 4 where five people were shot - two of which are dead.

Detectives from Redding contacted the Regional Crime Suppression Unit (RCSU) and let them know that Evanoff was likely in the Reno area.

The RCSU found Evanoff at an address on East 9th Street in Reno, then obtained a search warrant for that address.

Reno SWAT was called and served the search warrant - the 18-year-old was there and arrested without incident.

The second suspect, 19-year-old Andrew Greer-Herrera, is still at large, but is not believed to be in the Reno area.
