The Placer County Sheriff's Office is searching for a kayaker who went missing after their kayak flipped on Friday evening.
It happened under the No Hands Bridge at the American River Confluence, according to a Facebook post from the PCSO.
There were two people in the kayak at the time. One of them was able to reach safety at nearby rocks, while the other went missing.
The Sheriff's Office got the call around 5 p.m.
In addition to the PCSO, Cal Fire NEU is helping in the search, along with help from the Auburn State Recreation Area, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, and the California Highway Patrol in Auburn.
