A homeless man was arrested in the area of South Lake Tahoe last week a day after allegedly fleeing when an officer tried to stop him.

Dominic Biasi was on Post Release Community Supervision. People on this supervision have been released from state prison and remain under supervision by county probation, rather than state parole, according to a Facebook post from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.

When an officer tried to stop Biasi on March 11, Biasi allegedly fled on his bicycle, violating the terms of his supervision, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On March 12 he was found under the Upper Truckee Bridge and arrested.

He was found with drug paraphernalia, various weapons, pepper spray, and an imitation firearm, all of which he was not allowed to have.

He was booked into the El Dorado County Jail for resisting/delaying a peace officer, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, unlawful possession of tear gas (pepper spray), and violation of his PRCS.
