The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) and El Dorado County Sheriff's Department (ECSO) have released information about an arrest made over the weekend.
On Sunday, May 11, the El Dorado Sheriff's Department broadcast a 'be on the lookout' message to area law enforcement for a silver Mercedes that was allegedly tied to a home burglary in South Lake Tahoe.
SLTPD officers were able to find the car near Stateline, and attempted to stop the car in the valet area of one of the nearby casinos. Initially, the three people in the car did not comply with officers.
With some help from the Douglas County Sheriff and the ECSO, the three people were arrested.
An investigation of the car uncovered a full loaded, unregistered gun and numerous items of stolen mail and property.
All three of the suspects are reported to be from the Vallejo, California area and were booked into the Douglas County Jail on felony charges.
