Two high elevation campgrounds in the Sierra are opening today, marking the last openings for the season on the Sierra zone.

According to the U.S. Forest Service Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in an online post, Trumbull Lake Campground on the Bridgeport Ranger District and Mt. Rose Campground on the Carson Ranger District are opening today.

The agency noted these sites are the last two campgrounds to open on the Sierra zone this season and are high elevation areas. Visitors are encouraged to plan their getaway at https://www.fs.usda.gov/r04/humboldt-toiyabe/recreation.
