Warmer temperatures are creeping up on us, so skiers are flocking to the mountains while the snow is still there.

“It's like 85 every day here. I was at the lake the other day swimming,” said Jax Allen.

Greg Snapper says he's hoping for a miracle to keep the ski season going.

"I think fingers are crossed, for everyone, that we get a couple more big snowfalls between now and the end of May. maybe have a miracle may. I hope so,” Snapper said.

Snapper isn't the only skier hoping for more this year.

Allen, who’s been skiing at Palisades since he was five years old, said the snow as of late is lackluster.

‘I've been almost riding till July 4th every year consistently here,” Allen said. “But this year, it's like it’s going down pretty hard. Like going through our course on boardercross, there's a river running through it. There're dirt patches everywhere. It's an everyday struggle."

On the other side, Rebekah Little said she's taking advantage of the snow while ski season is still here.

"Usually I'm up here, just, have a little fun, party at The Chammy, but now I'm like, okay, I've never spring skied, so I should test it out,” Little said. "The temps are high, but the vibes are higher, you know?"

Even though ski season is starting to wane, Palisades Tahoe has multiple events this weekend.

Snowbladers raced against each other as part of the Pain McShlonkey classic to raise money for the Shane McConkey Foundation. Shane's wife Sherry McConkey says the event is a way to honor her late husband.

“He did a couple of [the races] so we decided to continue doing this race in honor of him,” Sherry McConkey said. “And then it's an all-day thing where we had a party on the Sundeck and lots of prizes and we announce our winner, who wins the $10,000 award."
