Nevada voters are making their voices heard during early voting.

The General Election is just next week, and voters have until Friday to cast their ballots early.

As of Tuesday night, more than 774,000 Nevadans have voted either in person or mailed in a ballot.

The Washoe County Registrar of Voters Office says the turnout has been strong.

"Sometimes there's long lines," said Bethany Drysdale, Communications Manager, Washoe County. "Sometimes there's a lot of people coming in and dropping off their ballots and we're just seeing a steady stream of people coming in to vote."

The Nevada Secretary of State, Francisco Aguilar is encouraging voters to hit the polls early, to ease the blow that will come on Election Day.

"The more they vote early, I think the better off it is for our local clerks to be able to keep up with the processing and keep up with the demand," he said.

For those who have already turned in a ballot, your local county clerk's office may have to reach out to you if there is an error with your signature.

"There may be an issue where your signature doesn't match in which case you'll need to cure your ballot and in that case you'll get a notification from our office saying you'll need to come in and verify you are who you say you are," Drysdale said. "That can be done via text, via email, we have some security questions we may ask."

Drysdale says they have received calls from some voters who are confused, but she assures that's a good thing.

The county wants voters to ask questions if they're unsure about things.

However, there's been one question they've gotten a few times.

"The most confusion, we get people asking do I need to fill out the entire ballot," Drysdale said. "Maybe I don't want to vote on this race or maybe I don't know enough about this ballot question. You don't have to vote for the entire ballot. You can vote for any or all of the races you want to vote for."

The county also says before you vote, make sure you look at the wait times at the polls closest to you.
