A man faces up to nearly a year in jail after being convicted of lewdness in front of a local college student.
The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says Cedric Jones started making unwanted advances against the victim back in 2023 despite her repeatedly rejecting him.
A month later, he found the same victim studying by herself and offered to show her a different study spot. The DA's office says she agreed, to be nice, but after he took her to a different building, he sat down next to her, asked her sexually suggestive questions and then touched himself.
Sentencing is set for May 13th.
Jones will also be required to register as a sex offender.
