A Carson City man was arrested and faces charges related to building explosive devices.
Carson City deputies conducted a traffic stop on Saturday, May 18, around 1 a.m. on a car driven by 50-year-old Christopher Gorham.
After searching the car, deputies say they found drug paraphernalia and an explosive device.Â
The Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad arrived and detonated the explosive at the scene.
After getting a search warrant, deputies searched Gorham's apartment and say they found more drugs, drug paraphernalia, and explosive materials.
They also say they found a document containing the names and ID numbers of two police officers, along with a list of ingredients to build another explosive device.
Gorham was arrested and faces charges of attempted acts of terrorism, manufacturing an explosive device, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substances act, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond is set at $250,000.
