Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) will stop conducting community-based COVID-19 testing events and on-site testing at CCHHS in in December.
Health officials say the decision to stop COVID-19 testing was based on a drastic decrease in testing demand and the increased focus on COVID-19 vaccinations due to demand.
November 17th will be the last community-based COVID-19 testing event and November 29th will be the final day of testing at CCHHS.
Carson City Health and Human Services will continue monitoring the metrics in the community, as well as the interest in COVID testing expressed through calls coming into the Quad-County COVID-19 Hotline.
CCHHS will be ready to resume COVID-19 testing if needed.
