A crash in Lyon County earlier this month left one person dead, and another arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
Nevada State Police responded to a crash at Six Mile Canyon Road and San Clemens Avenue in Lyon County on June 2.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling southbound on Six Mile Canyon Road towards San Clemens Avenue.
The car spun out and hit a ditch before becoming airborne, hitting a fence, and landing on its roof.
The passenger, 30-year-old Tyller Nichols from Dayton, Nevada, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 34-year-old Kyle Walker also from Dayton, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. He was booked into the Lyon County Jail.
Troopers say neither person was wearing a seatbelt.
The Nevada State Police Multidisciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
