Update, 2:58 p.m.:
According to the Reno Police Department, a woman who was a passenger was run over by a truck after she got out to help get it off the roadway after it had broken down.
Police say the truck lost its power functions and while backing it up the driver was unable to control the truck and it ran over the woman.Â
She was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. Â
The incident is still under investigation.
The Reno Police wants to remind the public that should you have a car breakdown and can't safely get it off the roadway, to leave it, put on the parking brake and call for help.Â

Emergency crews are on scene, helping remove a person stuck underneath a car in Reno.Â
The incident happened around 2 p.m. on Tuesday near Wedekind Road and Sutro Street.Â
