The Bureau of Land Management Nevada is putting a Fire Prevention Order in effect starting May 1st.
The order prohibits specific fire-related activities on all BLM-managed land in Nevada and will be in effect through October 31st of this year.Â
Among the things prohibited on BLM land are the use of fireworks, steel ammo and explosive materials including exploding targets.
Steel component ammunition is illegal on all lands managed by BLM Nevada for the duration of the order.
Anyone who knowingly and willfully violates these prohibitions may be subject to a fine and held responsible for any resulting costs associated with putting out fires or repairing fire damage.
