A lightning-sparked fire that has charred more than 35,100 acres in Nye County in now 95% contained.Â
The Gothic Fire started on the Fourth of July around 10 a.m. on restricted military land within the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR).Â
The BLM says the fire is burning in a remote area and no immediate threat to personnel, facilities, or nearby communities.
It's expected to be full contained on Friday.Â
The NTTR, managed by the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base, encompasses approximately 2.9 million acres of withdrawn public lands, including Range 74, which is used for military testing and training activities.Â
