A woman killed in a rollover crash near Fallon has been identified, and troopers now say impairment is suspected as a factor in the crash.
The crash happened around 2:22 p.m. on Thursday April 9, on State Route 117 near Churchill County mile marker two, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a division of the Nevada State Police.
A preliminary investigation found a green 1998 Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on State Route 117 when it ran off the roadway and onto the right shoulder. The driver attempted to reenter the roadway but lost control, causing the truck to rotate counterclockwise across the highway before overturning.
Both passengers were ejected during the crash.
The right front passenger, 18-year-old Aubree Swick, a woman from Fallon, was declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.
A rear seat passenger, an adult man, was taken to a local hospital with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, an adult man, reportedly was not injured.
Troopers said impairment is suspected as a factor in the crash.
The Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command, troopers have investigated nine fatal crashes resulting in 10 deaths so far this year. Officials said the numbers are preliminary and could change based on investigations and coroner reports.

A rollover crash in the Fallon area has left one person dead and injured two others.
The crash also closed a portion of Sheckler Road in both directions for hours, but the road has since reopened.
It happened just after 2:20 p.m., according to a release from the Nevada State Police.
A preliminary investigation shows that a pickup truck was heading west on Sheckler Road when it drove onto the right shoulder of the road. It then drove back onto the road and began to spin as it crossed to the left shoulder, where it flipped.
One passenger in the truck was confirmed dead on the scene, while another was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but a release from the Nevada State Police does not indicate they were taken to the hospital.
