The Reno Fire Department stopped a brush fire in north Reno on Tuesday afternoon.
It happened in the area of Valley Road and Enterprise Road, northeast of the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
There were no injuries and no buildings or vehicles were damaged in the blaze, according to RFD Chief Dave Cochran.
Crews are expected to be on scene for a few hours, fully extinguishing and putting out any hot spots.
Traffic in the area may be impacted, but roads will reopen as soon as crews start being released, Cochran said.
People are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes as crews mop up.
