The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a body that was found earlier this week in the Pine Nut Mountains.
Deputies say the body was found Monday in the Sunrise Pass area near the Lyon County line while the Douglas County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team was conducting training.
Investigators are now trying to identify the body and how the person died.
