There are several wild horse advocacy groups in northern Nevada.
They respond to dangerous situations involving wild horses.
On Sunday, deputies trained one group on the best safety practices for responding to incidents in the field.
The group went over things from how to enter a crime scene to what must be done when there is a dead or wounded person or animal.Â
Least Resistance Training Concepts responds to over five hundred calls a year, which makes it the largest technical large animal rescue team in the country.
For the training, there were three staged crime scenes.
One was a cut fence where horses had been stolen, another involved found drugs, and the last was a party scene where a wild mustang was shot.
