Washoe County will scale back its Wildfire Community Resource Center at 6 p.m. on Monday as fewer people seek in-person services, but assistance will remain available for residents affected by the fires.
A Red Cross representative will remain at the North Valleys Community Center through the end of the week to help schedule one-on-one appointments with local resource providers.
Food assistance will also be available Monday. The Mr. Yummy Yummy food truck will serve free chicken teriyaki bowls at the resource center from 4 to 6 p.m.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada will hold a separate food distribution at the Stead Airport located at 4895 Texas Avenue, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Residents affected by the fires can also receive assistance at the Salvation Army Community Center, located at 1931 Sutro St. in Reno. The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Food will be available there from 9 to 11:30 a.m., with clothing available from 1 to 3 p.m. The Salvation Army location is not accepting donations.
