Action Manufacturing, a Minnesota based company, was in South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday.
They presented and demonstrated a unique chair called the Action TrackChair that gives wheelchair users more accessibility and freedom on most surfaces.
The chair is battery powered and has similar tracks to snowmobiles.
A representative from Action Manufacturing said that the chair has allowed wheelchair users to get out of the house more and explore.
"When people go through these things in life, and they become window watchers is what happens, you know, you get stuck inside and you just can't do anything, it just changes the mental health of a person to be able to get back outdoors, and just enjoy what we all take for granted, and that is what it is there for," said Matt Bottelberghe, Director of Sales for Action Manufacturing.
There are 11 different models to choose from and they all have all terrain capability.
One mother brought her daughter to Connolly Beach to test the chair, and she said that it could open up new opportunities for their family.
"I think it opens up a world of possibilities for us. We haven't been to the beach in years because we don't really have a way to transport her anymore because she's too heavy to carry. We used to take her in a wagon and pull in the wagon down to the sand, but she's too heavy for that now," said Jennifer Drennan.
