On Tuesday students protested on the University of Nevada, Reno campus in response to a video circulating online where at least one student can be heard yelling a racial slur in the Argenta Dorm Hall.

Students who protested brought signs and took turns sharing about other times that they have experienced racism on campus.

One member of the organization wants the message of the protest to be clear as she hopes the event will bring people together.

"This protest it is not a black vs. white protest. This is not a race war kind of protest. This is a anti racism vs. racism kind of protest. This is an education vs. ignorance protest, and that's why we are out here today," said Leilani Carr, a member of the Black Student Organization.

University and student leaders are set to meet tomorrow about this situation, so we will provide updates as we learn more information.
