The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is inviting local business members to attend the first in-house meeting and training of the Community Business Crime Prevention Coalition.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Ormsby Room at the Sheriff’s Office.

Officials from the Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office will give presentations covering crime prevention during the holiday season, fraud prevention, and guidance for businesses that experience a crime.

Topics will include collecting information for police reports, meeting document and video requirements, and preparing for court.

The meeting will also cover best practices for sharing information with the Sheriff’s Office and staying informed about local crime and fraud affecting businesses. A question-and-answer session with the Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office will follow the presentations.

Business members in Carson City interested in joining the coalition can email RTIC@carson.org. Seats are limited, and RSVPs or inquiries can also be sent to the same email address.
