One Table One Nevada

Chef and restaurateur Mark Estee is teaming up with local businesses and restaurants to launch a new community-driven campaign,  One Table, One Nevada, ’ to support the Food Bank of Northern Nevada during an unprecedented time of need.

Through this effort, participating restaurants and businesses across the region will encourage patrons to donate to help fill the gap for families impacted by disruptions to food benefits.

Supporters can easily contribute through posterboards featuring QR codes placed at restaurants and local businesses throughout Northern Nevada or by donating directly to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada by clicking here.

“We’re a community that takes care of our own,” said Mark Estee. “The Food Bank of Northern Nevada does incredible work to make sure no one goes hungry; it’s our responsibility, especially as local business owners, to step up when our neighbors need us most. Every dollar makes a difference.”

As Northern Nevada heads into the holiday season, this campaign comes at a critical moment. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is bracing for an immediate shortfall as 48,000 Reno-area residents may not receive their federal food benefits.

The state relies on approximately $90 million each month from the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), with more than 77,000 Northern Nevadans depending on those benefits to feed their families.

“Heading into the holidays, the generosity of our community is needed more than ever,” said Nicole Lamboley, President and CEO of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. “We’re incredibly grateful to Mark Estee and our local partners for taking action to ensure we can continue meeting the needs of the families who rely on us during this uncertain time.”

Donations made as part of the One Table, One Nevada campaign will directly support the Food Bank’s emergency response and distribution programs, ensuring that no one in Northern Nevada goes without food this season.
