CHP has issued 323 citations for potentially dangerous parking along SR 89 in Emerald Bay.
The South Lake Tahoe Office adds it also removed 15 illegally parked cars as part of a recent parking enforcement program.
Instead, CHP urges people to take the Emerald Bay Shuttle that operates 9am - 5pm, seven days a week, July 15 - October 15. You can book tickets here.
Pickups are at Camp Richardson and the South Tahoe Y and the West Shore (Sugar Pine Point pickup) to Emerald Bay.Â
Roundtrip cost is $10 for adults, and $5 for kids (13 and younger).
Last summer, Keep Tahoe Blue says CHP issued more than 1,200 parking citations and towed over 300 cars along Highway 89
