A new state public health laboratory is in the works at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Construction is currently underway at the north end of campus.
University President Brian Sandoval says the building will help the state be better prepared for emergencies with improved diagnostic screening and analytical services.
The 55,000 square-foot building is expected to be fully completed by 2026.
