Imagine watching a baseball game under black lights, with glowing uniforms, a live DJ and fireworks lighting up the stadium in every direction. That’s the experience Cosmic Baseball plans to bring to Reno next fall, when its touring show makes a two-day stop at Greater Nevada Field.
The Cosmic Baseball Takeover Tour is scheduled for Oct. 1-2, 2027, as part of a nationwide tour spanning 44 Minor League Baseball stadiums.
Unlike a traditional ballgame, Cosmic Baseball combines professional baseball with a nighttime entertainment show. Players take the field in UV-reactive gear while black lights, music and interactive fan experiences turn the stadium into a neon spectacle.
And organizers say next year's show will be even bigger, with new in-game features that include a 360-degree fireworks display.
The expansion follows a busy 2026 tour that featured 74 sold-out games across 30 markets and drew more than 750,000 fans, according to the tour announcement. Attendance was up 400% compared with the inaugural 2025 tour.
"The energy on our 2026 tour was absolutely electric, blowing past every expectation we set," says Martin. "For 2027, we've dialed up the production, added groundbreaking new in-game features, and created a glowing nighttime performance that fans will be talking about long after the final light goes out."
For Reno baseball fans, the event offers a different way to experience the game, combining competition on the field with the atmosphere of a large-scale nighttime show.
Tickets will be available through a lottery. Fans can enter for a chance to purchase tickets to the Greater Nevada Field dates by visiting the Cosmic Baseball ticket lottery website.
