Nicholas Loving, who allegedly beat his five-year-old daughter, has had his bail set at $10 million.
Loving is charged with child abuse resulting in substantial bodily harm after detectives found his five-year-old daughter Izebella dead in their Cold Springs home last week.
In the event Loving pays the $10 million, he is not to leave Washoe County and not allowed to have any contact with his wife and kids for 420 days.
Judge Kendra Bertschy for the Reno Justice Court, says in the hearing, "Just to make sure it's very clear he is to have no contact and stay 100 feet away from those individuals. He can have no contact with them in any way including by phone, person, text, electronic means, through social media, or directly, or through an agent."
This is not Loving's first charge of child abuse.
According to records, Loving was convicted in 2013 and sentenced to 36 to 96 months in prison after a two-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital by his mother and her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Loving. Records say the boy had a "spiral" fracture in his left arm and a visible bite mark on his right shoulder. Loving ended up only serving 60 months on probation instead.
As we've been reporting, a detective found Izebella's body in an upstairs bedroom of the house on the ground and observed a lot of signs of trauma. Court documents say this included bruising to the face, pelvis, hips, the inside of both triceps, and genitals.
District Attorney Chris Hicks issued a statement saying, "Like so many in our community, my office was heartbroken to hear the death of Izebella Loving and the terrible injuries she suffered... My office's most experienced prosecutors are working closely with Sheriff's Office detectives as they complete their investigation. The district attorney's office will then methodically review the evidence and ensure all legally viable charges are pursued."
As of now, Loving is due back in court next week.
