Crews are continuing work on a water leak on Greiner's Bend in Virginia City.

The leak was initially reported last week.

Boiling water is still not required. Storey County says if a boil water notice becomes necessary, affected residents will be notified immediately.

Northbound Greiner's Bend will be closed while crews work.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Storey County Sheriff's Office says crews temporarily fixed a water leak in Virginia City.

The Sheriff's Office shared a post on Facebook saying the water leak had shut down the northbound lane of Greiner's Bend around noon on Wednesday.

They have since reopened the road after temporarily fixing the water line.

Crews will be back in the area on Thursday to fully complete the repairs.

Boiling water is not necessary at this time, but the Sheriff's Office will let residents know if a boil water notice goes into effect.
