Washoe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and RAVEN teams trained together this week in joint exercises focused on helicopter readiness and real-world deployment.
In a post on Facebook, the sheriff’s office says its commitment to training never stops. “As we head into Memorial Day weekend, that same commitment to safety extends throughout our community. Deputies will be out working to help keep residents and visitors safe, and we encourage everyone to do their part.”
"If you are driving, wear your seatbelt and never drive impaired. If you are spending time on the water, wear a life jacket and make sure you have the proper safety equipment onboard. If you are heading outdoors to hike, camp, ride OHVs, or recreate, know your limits, prepare for changing weather conditions, and recreate responsibly."
