Authorities have identified the driver who died in a rollover crash in Carson City earlier this week.Â
Nevada State Police say it happened on U.S. 50 at Deer Run Road just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
NSP says a 2003 Toyota Highlander and 2015 Ford F750 were both heading east on U.S. 50, in the same lane, when the Toyota didn't slow in time and hit the back of the Ford and turned and then rolled over.
The driver of the Highlander, 47-year-old Nathan Medina of Dayton, died on scene. NSP says he was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the SUV.
There were no other injuries in the crash.
All people involved in the crash stayed on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
Nevada Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses who might have seen the crash. Anyone who saw it or who has information is urged to call (775) 687-9600.
