A man is recovering after an early morning shooting near Sun Valley, and a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and prosecution in the case.

Sparks police say they responded to a home on Moorpark Court at around 1:14 a.m. Wednesday morning, after getting a call about a man with a gunshot wound.

By the time officers arrived, the man had already driven himself to a hospital. Officers said he was treated there and is expected to survive.

Police did not release any further details and said the case remains active.

They are asking anyone who saw the shooting or knows something about it to call Sparks Police at 775-353-2231 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900 and reference case #25 8618. 

Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of any suspects wanted in connection with the shooting.
