On Sunday, June 14, at approximately 8:32 a.m., troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a report of a crash on U.S. 50 near Lander County mile marker 27, about three miles east of Austin.

An adult female passenger was transported to a regional hospital, where she remains in the Intensive Care Unit due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team (MIRT). Anyone with information is asked to contact the NHP Elko Office at (775) 753-1111 or email ncemirt@dps.state.nv.us.
