Washoe County School District Police say that they had a fire inside a trash can in one of the bathrooms at Sky Ranch Middle School on Windmill Farms Pkwy. on Friday Morning. 

As a precaution, students were evacuated for a short time while the fire was extinguished.

Students have since returned to classrooms.

It is unknown how the fire started.

No injuries were reported.Â
