Food Bank of Northern Nevada to host Baggin’ for Apples volunteer event

The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is inviting families to take part in Baggin’ for Apples, a free, Halloween-themed volunteer event.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 30 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Food Bank’s warehouse, located at 550 Italy Drive in Sparks.

The event is open to people of all ages and gives younger children an opportunity to volunteer and support families facing hunger in the community.

Participants will pack fresh produce for distribution and enjoy activities and refreshments in a festive Halloween setting.

This year’s event is sponsored by PBS Reno.

Costumes are encouraged, though closed-toe shoes are required for safety.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and non-perishable food and monetary donations will be accepted during the event.

Admission is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required at fbnn.org.
