Governor Lombardo has vetoed Senate Bill 350, which would have adjusted requirements on the death penalty in Nevada.
The bill aimed to change the time period for when the state completes an execution order.
The time period is currently set at 60 to 90 days after a death penalty is sentenced and an execution order is handed down.
SB 350 looked to change that time period to 120 to 180 days.
The bill passed through both the Senate and the Assembly with relatively few hurdles.
