The holidays can be especially challenging for families facing food insecurity, but help is on the way across Northern Nevada.
Through the Holiday Spirit Food Baskets program, St. Vincent’s Food Pantry is working to ensure families can begin Christmas morning with a warm, nourishing meal.
Thanks to generous donations from community members and local businesses, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada will provide more than 2,000 Christmas Breakfast Holiday Spirit Food Baskets to local and rural Nevada families in need.
No registration is needed, and families can pick up their holiday breakfast meal kits at participating St. Vincent’s Food Pantry locations between December 16 and 19.
Each holiday breakfast basket includes eggs, milk, cheese, bacon, sausage, hash browns, fresh orange or apple juice, waffles, and pancake mix. Baskets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Organizers recommend arriving early.Â
Participating Pantry Locations and Distribution Times:
- Moana Neighborhood Center, located at 480 E. Moana Lane. On December 18, from Noon to 4 p.m.
- Main Campus / Downtown Reno, located at 500 E. Fourth Street, on December 18–19 from 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

St. Vincent’s Food Pantry is the largest in the state of Nevada and serves an average of 40,000 Northern Nevadans each month.
