The Nevada Department of Transportation wants to remind drivers that the Interstate 80 Wadsworth rest area remains closed for an indefinite amount of time.
The rest area is closed due to needed septic system repairs.
During the closure, the entire facility - including the parking lot and RV dump station - is inaccessible to travelers.
The septic system received an inspection recently, during which time it was found that the system needed repair. NDOT is conducting further engineering evaluation to see if a new septic system will be needed, which could require significant funding.
The nearest I-80 rest area is located at the I-80/U.S. 95 junction east of Fernley.
