Crews are continuing to construct a new sidewalk on Mill Street west of I-580 prompting bus schedule impacts and speed reductions.
RTC states that the RIDE bus service may be temporarily impacted during the project's implementation. Any detours or changes to the bus schedule will be displayed at the affected bus stop.
Speeds should also be reduced to 30 miles per hour, 24/7, for the safety of the workers, according to RTC.
In another project, crews are continuing to widen roadways, working on underground utility, new sidewalks, and a new retaining wall on the north side of Mill Street near Port of Subs.
Beginning January 19, RTC says drivers can expect a single lane closure on northbound Kietzke Lane from just north of Mill Street, south of the intersection during the daytime.
According to RTC, no parking will be allowed on the east side of Kietzke Lane during the lane closure.
Access to businesses will still be available, but RTC says temporary driveway closures could happen for up to one hour or more during certain construction activities.
