The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division will once again be teaming up with the Joining Forces coalition to remove impaired drivers from our roads.

The program started on February 8 and will continue through until February 23.

Officials say that one of the top factors of fatal crashes is impairment.

The Sparks Police Department, among other local agencies, is taking part in this operation.

NSP and Joining Forces are hoping to bring down the number of fatalities by increasing public awareness, and educating the public about the dangers of driving under the influence.
