Drivers who will be in the Gardnerville area over the next few days will want to take note of some lane closures on U.S. 395.
From February 5 through 7, single-lane closures will be taking place on U.S. 395 south of Gardnerville, in Douglas County.
These closures are part of a continuing improvement project underway by NDOT.
The single-lane closures will affect short sections of the highway from the Nevada-California state line to Ray May Way between 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily while crews install fiber optic lines.
Drivers need to be aware of traffic flaggers and pilot cars, which will alternate directions of traffic through the work zone.
Officials say that most delays should be minor - but drivers should anticipate delays of at least 15 minutes.
