The Lyon County Sheriff’s Employee Association recently stepped up to replace personal items stolen from a juvenile who was the victim of a violent crime.
Deputies learned that the juvenile had property taken from him during the incident and tried unsuccessfully to recover it, according to a post on the Lyon County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
After learning that several deputies were planning to replace the juvenile’s lost property with their own money, LCSEA board members and president decided to replace the property with their association's funds.
LCSEA funds are funds paid into by LCSEA Members during the course of their membership. Currently, the LCSEA is comprised of approximately 60 employees.
Deputies are continuing to investigate the incident.
