Nevada State Police have identified a driver who was killed in a crash on Interstate 80 about five miles west of West Wendover.
It's happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday May 23 near Elko County mile marker 127.Â
The investigation determined that a silver Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound when it failed to maintain its travel lane, drove off the roadway, and entered the dirt center median.
The Jeep was launched after crossing a vehicle turnaround, causing it to overturn multiple times.
The vehicle had two male juvenile passengers. One of the juveniles was treated and released from an area hospital. The second juvenile remains in critical condition.
The driver, who was unrestrained, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 21-year-old Kolton Lee Warr of Pocatello, Idaho.
Nevada State Police say speed and impairment are believed to be contributing factors in this crash.
The crash remains under investigation. If you were a witness or have any other information, you're asked to contact the NHP Elko Office at 775-753-1111 or e-mail ncemirt@dps.state.nv.us.
