A man was arrested for multiple charges after allegedly illegally entering his ex-girlfriend's home.Â
Officers from the Sparks Police Department responded Tuesday morning to a report of an intruder at a home near Vista Boulevard and Peppergrass Drive.
According to police, a woman called 911 at 5:47 a.m. and said her ex-boyfriend had entered her home and was involved in a physical altercation with another person inside.
The alleged suspect, identified as 28-year-old Dejohn Radigan, fled the scene before officers arrived. A search of the area did not locate him.
At 7 a.m., the woman called 911 again, reporting that Radigan was outside her home, standing at her window and looking in. Officers responded, and Radigan fled when they attempted to stop him.
Police say Radigan ran through several yards and jumped multiple fences in an attempt to evade capture.
A yard-to-yard search was conducted with the help of a drone and K9 handlers from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Radigan was eventually located and arrested without further incident.
Radigan was booked into the Washoe County Jail on a warrant for failure to appear on a prior aggravated stalking charge, a probation violation, and new charges of aggravated stalking and obstructing related to Tuesday's events.
According to police, no further information is being released.
