We're learning more about the search for a suspect that led to several schools being put on lockdown on Thursday.
Police tell us they found Shabryon Jones hiding inside a convenience store freezer along Mae Anne Avenue after running from police.
Police say given the severity of Jones’ criminal background, and the possibility of him being armed, additional police resources were deployed, including officers with K9s, along with multiple other supporting units.
As a precaution, Billinghurst Middle and Westergard Elementary schools were placed on a temporary secured campus with Washoe County School Police on scene for added security.
While on the run, police say Jones knocked on the door of at least one home but the homeowner didn't answer, which police say likely prevented a dangerous situation.
Jones was eventually arrested and booked on crimes related to pandering - as well as for an active parole warrant.
Police say Jones is known to the Regional Gang Unit as a California based gang member with an extensive criminal history.
