Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Tuesday morning after responding to reports of a person harassing people and making threats outside the Rainbow Market in Sun Valley.
Deputies identified the man as Richard Burke. During their investigation, they found stolen property from the nearby O’Reilly Auto Parts store, along with a prescription for a controlled substance that did not belong to him, according to the sheriff’s office.
Burke was booked into the Washoe County Jail on charges of felony possession of stolen property and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.
The sheriff’s office urges anyone who witnesses suspicious or criminal activity to report it by calling (775) 785-WCSO (9276) or dialing 911 in an emergency.
