A Fernley man is suspected of strangling a woman in Sun Valley and then fled toward Lyon County, last weekend.

Deputies say Angel Banuelos strangled the woman on Saturday and then drove away - the car was later abandoned on I-80 near Patrick - on fire. 

Eventually, Banuelos was found in Fernley and arrested.

Banuelos was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on the following charges:

* Domestic Battery by Strangulation, a felony

* Prevent/Dissuade Reporting Crime, a felony

* Child Abuse/Neglect, a felony

* False Imprisonment with a Domestic Violence Enhancement, a gross misdemeanor

* Domestic Battery, a misdemeanor
