The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office have identified the man who was shot and killed on E. Street in Sparks on Wednesday, September 18.Â
The Coroner has identified the man as 56-year-old John Heinz from Reno.
Heinz was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, the cause of his death was multiple gunshot wounds.Â
The Sparks Police Department is handling the law enforcement investigation of the case. Â
Update (9/21 3:10 p.m.):
The suspect in the shooting, Yun Kim, has now been medically cleared and booked into the Washoe County Sheriffs Office.
Update (9/19 1:05 p.m.):
Police are investigating a shooting that killed one man on E. Street in Sparks late Wednesday afternoon.Â
Sparks Police say it happened after a disagreement between the suspect, identified as Yun Kim and two workers who were renovating a vacant apartment near E. and 19th Streets.
Police say Kim had a disagreement with the workers earlier in the day and then just before 4:30 p.m. went back with a gun and started shooting.
The unidentified man who was shot was hospitalized but died.
The other worker, who was not hit was able to subdue Kim at the scene and he was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Kim was transported to the hospital - once he's released, he'll be booked into the Washoe County Jail where he'll face charges:Â
* Murder with the use of Deadly Weapon
* Assault with Deadly Weapon
* Attempted Murder with the use of a Deadly Weapon
The investigation is ongoing currently.
The Sparks Police Department is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information about this incident to contact the Sparks Police Detectives at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

Two people have been taken to the hospital after Sparks Police responded to reports of a shooting on E Street Wednesday evening.
Sparks Police confirm a heavy presence along E Street in Sparks near Kate Smith Elementary and ask people to avoid the area.
