Deputies have arrested a man they say abducted a woman at gunpoint near Winnemucca on Thursday night.
Authorities say the suspect, whose name hasn’t been released, was arrested after responding to the area of Water Canyon Campground on Thursday night.
Deputies say the victim is safe and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The suspect was booked into the Humboldt County Detention Center “for violations of Nevada Revised Statutes related to domestic violence and other charges,” says the sheriff’s office.
“Additional charges may be considered as the investigation continues.”
