Residents in Minden, Gardnerville and surrounding communities now have expanded access to same-day medical care following the transition of Minden Emergent Care to Minden Urgent Care.
The change took effect on Monday, June 1, and is intended to provide more convenient access to treatment for common illnesses and injuries. Located inside Minden Medical Center at 925 Ironwood Drive, the facility is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and accepts walk-in patients.
Minden Urgent Care is the third urgent care location operated by Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, expanding access to healthcare services across the Quad-County region.
Patients can receive treatment for a variety of conditions, including cold and flu symptoms, sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, minor cuts and sprains, minor fractures, rashes, sports physicals, and work-related injuries.
“Our goal is to make it easier for patients to access the right care at the right time,” said Michelle Joy, President & CEO of Carson Tahoe Health. “Minden Urgent Care provides convenient walk-in access seven days a week while connecting patients to imaging, lab, primary care, and specialty services all within the Minden Medical Center. This transition allows us to continue meeting the healthcare needs of Douglas County while improving access to affordable, high-quality care close to home.”
